Based on the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy; widely used in the education of gifted and talented children.
A classroom wall poster of approximately 2 feet by 3 feet, on glossy light card stock, uv coated for maximum durability. Based on Benjamin Bloom’s Taxonomy as revised, it sets out and explains the different levels of thinking in the cognitive domain, with question clues and student activities.
During the 1990s, Lorin Anderson (a former student of Benjamin Bloom) led a team of cognitive psychologists in revisiting the taxonomy with the view to examining the relevance of the taxonomy as we entered the twenty-first century. As a result of the investigation a number of significant improvements were made.
It is time to replace the old Bloom’s Taxonomy and focus on the revision which is both more sensible and more oriented toward student behaviors.
This poster is designed to serve as a key aid to helping teachers understand the revised taxonomy and to aiding students in understanding their thinking and behaviors and how to develop high levels of thinking.
It should be displayed in every classroom.
