Astronomy Club Starts Monday!

Don’t let your young scientist’s mind get sluggish this summer. Spice up the remaining weeks of the summer break with our Online Learning Community’s exciting science workshop on astronomy, taught by our brilliant and enthusiastic instructor Bryan Roessel.

This has been an eventful summer in space for the scientific community. Through our new Astronomy Club, your teen can join weekly discussions of the latest discoveries, receive expert guidance in how to understand and contextualize what space exploration continues to uncover, and get tips and tricks for accessing more information. Members of the club will discuss gravity wave observatories, the James Webb telescope and recent images on NASA’s “Astronomy Picture of the Day” website, exoplanets, meteor showers, and space-related citizen science projects. This club is the place for teens to bring all of those endless questions about what lies beyond our planet and to have real discussions with expert input.
