This set of 150 flashcards will help students study all of the stems and words in Caesar’s English I. The cards are 4×6 inches in size and are printed on durable card stock. Each card contains a stem or word on the front and its definition on the back, all in large black font to make it easy to read. The cards are packaged in sequential order by lesson so that it is simply a matter of taking the next set of five or ten cards off the stack to study as the students progress through the book, but each card is also labeled with the lesson it pertains to in small type at the bottom so that they can be mixed up for more challenging studying and then rearranged later. The set comes in a sturdy, clear plastic envelope with a no-fuss clasp to enable convenient storage.

Note: This set of flashcards was developed for the Classical Education Edition of Caesar’s English I. As such, it includes the five nonfiction words from each stem lesson that are in that edition of the book, in addition to the five Latin stems from those lessons and the five classic words from the alternating lessons. These nonfiction words are not in the Standard Edition of Caesar’s English I. Instructors using that edition of the book either can choose not to use those cards, or they can use them to supplement the students’ vocabulary study with some important words that use the stems they are learning, even though they are not tested on those words in the book. We do not offer a set of flashcards that does not include the nonfiction words.
