Explore Art and the Ancient World with Dr. Kemnitz!
The contributions of the ancient Greeks and Romans have profoundly shaped both the art that we see and the world that we live in, laying the foundations from everything from architecture to modern government. Learning about these civilizations helps children understand the origins of many contemporary ideas and artistic expressions, fostering a deeper appreciation for the historical roots of Western cultures.
The Royal Fireworks Online Learning Community is offering two fascinating courses for the 2024-25 school year, each designed to enrich students’ understanding of the world around them. These courses will be taught by the esteemed Dr. Thomas Milton Kemnitz, a renowned historian and expert in Greek and Roman history. Dr. Kemnitz will share with students his wealth of knowledge—as well as a treasure trove of photographs, artwork, and artifacts that he has collected over many years and extensive travels.
