What Are the Requirements to Take the PMP Exam?

To be eligible for the PMP exam, you need to meet specific educational and professional experience criteria set by PMI. Generally, you must have:

Educational Background: A four-year degree OR a high school diploma/associate’s degree (or global equivalent)

Project Management Experience:
– With a four-year degree: 36 months of leading projects in the past eight years
– With a secondary degree: 60 months of leading projects in the past eight years

Project Management Education: 35 contact hours of formal project management education (This requirement is covered by taking the Royal Fireworks Pro PMP Prep course.)

What Is the PMP Exam Like?

The PMP exam consists of 180 questions covering various project management topics, such as initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing projects. It also includes scenarios on agile, hybrid, and traditional project management approaches. You’ll have 230 minutes to complete the computer-based test. Once you pass, you’ll join a community of certified professionals recognized worldwide for their expertise. The typical pass rate for this exam is under 50%, but with Mike Strachan’s course, it’s over 99%!
