A Look Ahead to Basic Concepts of Algebra I

This course is for children who are ready to begin algebra. It is designed to provide an introduction to the subject, a chance for your child to get a jump on the math expected in the upcoming year. With a steady application of effort, students will be able to master the wide range of topics that fall under the heading of “Introductory Algebra.” They will be presented with many problem-solving strategies to apply to a broad introduction to basic algebra, including linear equations, ratios, quadratic equations, special factorizations, complex numbers, graphing linear and quadratic equations, linear and quadratic inequalities, functions, polynomials, exponents and logarithms, absolute value, and sequences and series.

This course is set for the appropriate level of difficulty for children who are in the sixth to the eighth grades.

Live Classes: Mondays, 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Students unable to attend a live class will be able to access a recording of the class.
