Fine Arts: Watercolor Painting

In this course, students will gain a basic understanding of watercolor paints as a medium while exploring important themes in art-making. They will be working with multiple techniques and a variety of subjects. Each class will include a lesson or demonstration and a weekly homework assignment.

Live Classes: Tuesdays, 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time

Student Expectations: Students are expected to come to the live classes prepared with the necessary materials, to complete the assignments, and to participate in the class discussions.

Student Support: The instructor is available via email.

Feedback/Assessment: Feedback will be given after every assignment.

Materials/Supplies: Students should have a basic set of watercolor paints in typical palette form or tubes. The set should include a minimum of 12 colors, but the more the merrier! Students will also need a pad of watercolor paper (minimum size: 7”x9”), a small paintbrush, a cup of water, and paper towels.
