THIS IS A TWO-SEMESTER COURSE.

Geometry is one of the oldest and most practical branches of mathematics. It is frequently the branch of mathematics that students with dyslexia take to most readily. Geometry leads children to logical thought and proof by an essential sequence of reasoning. Its importance for understanding the basic order of the world around us cannot be overstated.

This course provides a wide-ranging introduction to linear and solid geometry, including similar triangles, congruent triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, and introductory trigonometry.

This course is set for the appropriate level of difficulty for children in the ninth or tenth grade.

Class Meetings: Thursdays, 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Fall Semester: August 22 – December 19, 2024
Spring Semester: January 16 – May 15, 2025
