THIS IS A ONE-SEMESTER COURSE.
This course will delve into the branch of biology that focuses on animals. Students will study the structures, behaviors, and classifications of many different species. They’ll learn the difference between vertebrates such as mammals and fish and invertebrates such as insects and mollusks. They’ll also study various types of relationships among species, including predation and parasitism.
Class Meetings: Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: August 19 – December 16, 2025
Student Expectations:Â Students will complete research projects for this course. They’ll also be expected to participate in the live class discussions.
Student Support: The instructor is available via email.
Feedback/Assessment:Â The instructor will provide a grade on all submitted work, as well as verbal feedback during the class discussions.
Materials/Supplies: Students will need a pencil, a notebook, and a set of colored pencils or markers.
