Math for Highly Gifted Young Children, Part V

This course is an extension of the course “Math for Highly Gifted Young Children, Part IV.” Students will analyze characteristics and properties of two- and three-dimensional shapes, and they will examine congruences and similarities of those shapes. They will use deduction and theorems to establish the validity of geometric conjectures. They will also apply transformation and use symmetry to analyze mathematical situations.

Prerequisites: Students must have completed the course “Math for Highly Gifted Young Children, Part IV.”
