Michael Reads Poodle Knows What? Workshop

In this workshop, Michael Clay Thompson will do a reading of Poodle Knows What?, with annotations and a discussion of the parts of speech. This is a unique opportunity for children to hear an author read his own work and talk to them about why he wrote it as he did. While adults can go and listen to authors talk about the process of writing a book, there’s almost no opportunity for children to have an interaction like that. This workshop provides that opportunity, not to mention a meaningful grammar lesson!

Live Classes: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 22, 23, and 24, 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time

Materials: Students will need a copy of Michael’s book Poodle Knows What?
