Oil Pastels Workshop: Monet’s Impression, Sunrise (Jan. 3, 4, 5)

Students will learn the basics of drawing with oil pastels and color mixing while creating a finished work of art along with the instructor. The students in this workshop will be recreating Claude Monet’s famous Impression, Sunrise. They’ll also create a smaller artwork if they finish early. This workshop is suitable for students at all skill levels.

Materials: Students will need an oil pastel set with a minimum of 15 colors. Please do not bring chalk pastels. Students will also need a pad of canvas paper that is at least 7″x9”. Other paper will work, but the oil will eventually bleed around the edges of the drawing. Oil pastel fixative is suggested to preserve finished works but is not required.

Live Classes: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, January 3, 4, and 5, 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time
