THIS IS A SIX-SESSION WORKSHOP.

In this workshop, students will gain a basic understanding of puppet storytelling (as opposed to puppet shows). The instructors will explain and demonstrate how to create voices, facial expressions, and movements while narrating a story with puppets. Students will be actively involved in the learning process, including introducing a puppet, creating voices and movements for their puppet, and sharing a puppet story of their own on the last day.

Class Meetings: Mondays, 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: Feb. 24, Mar. 3, Mar. 10, Mar. 17, Mar. 24, Mar. 31
Note that these classes may meet for more than an hour each session.

Materials/Supplies: Students will need to have at least one hand puppet (any size), a pencil and paper or sticky notes, and an assortment of colored pencils or markers.
