THIS IS A ONE-SEMESTER COURSE.

In this course, students will learn classic Greek trigonometry, as well as radian measure and the unit circle. Additional topics will include all six trigonometric functions, inverse functions, graphing, identities equation solving, polar coordinates, and parametric equations. It will also include some applications of trigonometry to physics.

Class Meetings: Thursdays, 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time
Dates: September 5 – December 19

Student Expectations: Students should expect weekly homework assignments that reinforce the concepts covered in class. Additionally, there will be three quizzes given during the course.

Student Support: The instructor is available via email.

Feedback/Assessment: Homework will be reviewed and discussed in the following week’s class meeting.

Materials: All materials will be available free online.

Prerequisites: Students must have taken Algebra I to enroll in this course. Geometry is not a requirement but is strongly recommended.
