Watercolor Painting Workshop: Northern Lights (Dec. 27, 28, 29)

Watercolors are a great medium because they’re portable, affordable, and make little mess. They also help to promote flexibility and playfulness. This workshop will teach the basics of watercolors while students construct a colorful piece of artwork. The subject for the workshop will be the photo of a wintry scene with the northern lights shown here.

Materials: Students should have a basic set of watercolor paints in typical palette form or tubes. The set should include a minimum of 12 colors, but the more the merrier! Students will also need a small paintbrush, a cup of water, paper towels, and a pad of watercolor paper (minimum size: 7″x9″).

Live Classes: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, December 27, 28, and 29, 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time
