New MAGIC LENS II
Michael Clay Thompson has done a massive reconceptualization and revision of The Magic Lens II, rendering it a worthy successor to the new third edition of The Magic Lens I. This new edition is visually and thematically more accessible and a great asset to our constantly improving Royal Fireworks Press Language Arts Curriculum.
- The book is completely reconfigured and restructured based on the four-level analysis model.
- There are expanded sections on verbs.
- Concepts are clarified.
- Bright, new, full-color graphics enhance the text and understanding.
- Punctuation is dealt with at each level.
- Practice is incorporated at every stage.
MCT says: Magic Lens II now has the benefit of decades of classroom use, online teaching, faculty workshops, and conference presentations. It is a Magic Lens II for the next two decades.

Our list of iBooks is growing and includes some exciting innovations. Many of our iBooks contain interactive exercises and audio clips. Now your students can hear the voice of Michael Clay Thompson as he recites many of the poems, reads stem stories, and speaks directly to the readers in the lessons. In The Music of the Hemispheres students can hear Michael reading the wonderful poems that he chose to illustrate the poetic concepts that he teaches so inspiringly. NEW for Schools
CAESAR’S ENGLISH I and CAESAR’S ENGLISH II
Tests for Caesar’s English
We have created a new set of tests for Caesar’s English I and Caesar’s English II.
The new tests are designed to achieve several objectives.
First and foremost, they will put all the students in the class on a level playing field. Some parents have obtained the teacher manuals for Caesar’s English I and II and have been able to prepare their children for the tests. These students have had an unfair advantage, which will be eliminated by these new sets of tests.
Second, the tests have sections that require understanding of the material rather than memorization of flashcards. Testing for comprehension rather than memorization will encourage the students to learn the material rather than simply do test prep.
Third, we have endeavored to formulate many questions that provide information that will intrigue some students and will give additional background to the content of the texts about Caesar and about the Romans.
The new tests are cumulative. They ask about any word or stem that has appeared in any one of the previous lessons. We do not want students to take the test and then forget what they have learned. The content of this curriculum will be useful to them for a lifetime, and we want to ensure that they are focused on learning and retaining it.
A portion of each of the new tests is formatted in the same structure as the tests in the teacher manual.
AVAILABLE ONLY FOR SCHOOLS THAT ARE IMPLEMENTING THE MCT CURRICULUM. THESE ALTERNATIVE TEST BOOKS ARE FOR SALE ONLY TO TEACHERS; WE WILL SHIP ONLY TO SCHOOL ADDRESSES.
