A Look Ahead to Basic Concepts of Pre-Algebra
This course teaches students the necessary problem-solving strategies that will enable them to solve algebraic equations. It is designed to provide an introduction to the subject, a chance for your child to get a jump on the math that he or she will be doing in the upcoming year. Topics include set, numeration, operations, pre-algebra, pre-geometry, measurement, and probability and statistics. The course will cover a wide variety of areas: primes and divisors, fractions, equations and inequalities, decimals, ratios and proportions, unit conversions and rates, percentages, square roots, geometric shapes, statistics, and counting and elementary probability.
This course is set for the appropriate level of difficulty for children who are in the fifth grade.
Live Classes: Mondays, 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time, from June 7th to July 26th. Students unable to attend a live class will be able to access a recording of the class.
