This is the second half of a two-semester course that began in Fall 2020.

This is a special course for children who do not like math, who do not feel confident in their math ability, who find math an alien language, or who just need some extra help before they get it.

This course is an essential gateway to enable students to succeed in higher mathematics, and as such, a great deal of time (including individual special attention) will be allocated to making certain that each student understands all aspects of the material.

Topics covered will include a review of basic algebra topics, complex numbers, quadratics and conic sections, polynomials, multivariable expressions, sequences and series, identities, inequalities, exponents and logarithms, piecewise-defined functions, functional equations, and much more.

This course is set for the appropriate level of difficulty for children who would be in the tenth grade if they were in a public school.

Live Classes: Thursdays, 3:30 p.m. Eastern Time, from January 14th to May 13th. Students unable to attend a live class will be able to access a recording of the class.

Student Support: The instructor is available via email.

Materials: Students will need the book Intermediate Algebra (available at
