Basic Concepts of Algebra

This course is designed to help children retain and enhance the math learning that went on all year until school closed. It is an opportunity for them to work with a creative, flexible, and gentle teacher who has countless methods for engaging young minds to grasp and retain mathematical concepts.
The course is an essential gateway to enable students to succeed in higher mathematics, and as such, a great deal of time will be allocated to making certain that each student understands all aspects of the material.
Topics covered in this course include a review of basic algebra topics, complex numbers, quadratics and conic sections, polynomials, multivariable expressions, sequences and series, identities, inequalities, exponents and logarithms, piecewise-defined functions, functional equations, and much more.
This course is set for the appropriate level of difficulty for children who are in the tenth grade.
