This course will examine how different countries set up their political systems. Learning about other nations and how they face internal problems is important to understanding how better to deal with issues at home. Students will learn about various types of governments, how they are arranged, and the problems they face in taking on civil questions.

This course is an introduction for students who are curious about politics in different countries. Students will examine the processes and outcomes that countries use to set up, elect, and run governments. Because politics and government are such important topics, this course will demonstrate the diversity of governments. Students will gain an understanding of political life, alternative governments, and how global politics is important to everyday life.
