¡Hablemos! / Let’s Talk!: A Conversational Approach to Learning Spanish
This course will give students the opportunity to develop their conversational skills by broadening their regular Spanish course lessons. Students will learn how to use appropriate and on-target cultural expressions. They will participate in writing and performing dialogues that involve everyday situations, and they will learn to improvise and to explain their reactions to newspaper articles, art reviews, and technological and world issues.
Live Classes: The live classes will meet for 30 minutes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, January 12th to May 13th. Students must attend the live classes.
Student Expectations: Students will be required to participate in the live classes. They also must complete all assignments and projects.
Student Support: The instructor is available via email.
Feedback/Assessment: Feedback will be provided on assignments and classwork.
Materials: Students must have a good Spanish-English dictionary, a class notebook, and a pencil.
Prerequisites: Students must be concurrently enrolled in a Spanish course.
