Many Americans are familiar with yoga but might not know much about the tradition it comes from: Hinduism. Hinduism is a complex and multifaceted religion practiced by more than a billion people living in India and worldwide. With more than 330 million gods and goddess, this incredibly diverse faith encompasses many understandings of divinity, including monotheism, pantheism, and henotheism. This workshop will introduce students to this vibrant religious and philosophical tradition that began 3,500 years ago and that continues to shape people’s lives and the world today.
There will be no assignments for this course, just a forum for gathering online to learn and discuss. There will be an online classroom provided with additional materials and a space to connect.
Live Classes: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, August 3rd, 4th, and 5th, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time
