Mathematical Model Building
|Term||Summer Session 2021|
|Ages||10 & up|
|Instructor||Dr. Rachel McAnallen|
Using oak tag, tag board, or construction paper, students will construct the five Platonic solids and other models. With patience, they can make a Calder-type mobile that can be hung from a ceiling. This is a hands-on building course, designed for children who like working with their hands and “making stuff.”
Live Classes: Wednesdays, 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, from June 9th to July 28th
Materials: Students will need a straightedge/ruler, a circular protractor, pens/markers/pencils, scissors, oak tag, construction paper, and a glue stick.
