Spanish IV – Advanced Spanish: Language and Culture

This course offers an advanced level of Spanish for students who want to acquire a higher level of proficiency in the language. It will involve class discussions, readings, and writing about education, national and personal identity, and technology’s influences on society, world views, and the arts.
Live Classes: Mondays, 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. This course begins the week of September 13th, with the semester ending the week of December 13th. Spring semester 2022 begins the week of January 10th and ends the week of May 9th. Students must attend the live classes.
Student Expectations: Students will submit weekly assignments, complete unit quizzes, and work on class exercises. Students should study and practice for at least twenty minutes every day.
Student Support: The instructor is available via email.
Feedback/Assessment: Feedback will be provided on assignments, quizzes, and classwork.
Materials: All necessary reading and study materials will be provided and posted online. Students must have a good Spanish-English dictionary, a class notebook, and a journal.
Prerequisites: Students should have completed Spanish III or obtain permission from the instructor.
