Spanish IV – Advanced Spanish: Language and Culture

This is the second half of a two-semester course that began in Fall 2020.
This course offers an advanced level of Spanish for students who want to acquire a higher level of proficiency in the language. It will involve class discussions, readings, and writing about education, national and personal identity, and technology’s influences on society, world views, and the arts.
Live Classes: Mondays, 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, from January 11th to May 10th. Students must attend the live classes.
Student Expectations: Students will submit weekly assignments, complete unit quizzes, and work on class exercises. Students should study and practice for at least twenty minutes every day.
Student Support: The instructor is available via email.
Feedback/Assessment: Feedback will be provided on assignments, quizzes, and classwork.
Materials: All necessary reading and study materials will be provided and posted online. Students must have a good Spanish-English dictionary, a class notebook, and a journal.
Prerequisites: Students should have completed Spanish III or obtain permission from the instructor.
