Spanish IV – Advanced Spanish: Language and Culture

This course offers an advanced level of Spanish for students who want to acquire a higher level of proficiency in the language. It will involve class discussions, readings, and writing about education, national and personal identity, and technology’s influences on society, world views, and the arts.
Live Classes: Mondays, 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Students must attend the live classes. The first semester begins the week of August 17th and ends the week of December 14th. The second semester begins the week of January 11th, 2021, and ends the week of May 10th.
Student Expectations: Students will submit weekly assignments, complete unit quizzes, and work on class exercises. Students should study and practice for at least twenty minutes every day.
Student Support: The instructor is available via email.
Feedback/Assessment: Feedback will be provided on assignments, quizzes, and classwork.
Materials: All necessary reading and study materials will be provided and posted online. Students must have a good Spanish-English dictionary, a class notebook, and a journal.
Prerequisites: Students should have completed Spanish III or obtain permission from the instructor.
