The best meditation is the one that you’ll actually do. A meditation practice can increase concentration skills, creativity, and self-awareness, and practitioners often claim that they handle stress better and develop a sense of overall calmness. There are many forms of meditation, and they all have their own benefits. This workshop will allow students to test out several types of meditation so that they can find what works best for them and start their own practice.

Session 1: An introduction to meditation and its benefits; mindful breathing meditation

Session 2: Moving meditation (tai chi) and emptying meditation

Session 3: Guided visual meditation and cultivating kindness meditation
