The Gods, Goddesses, and Legendary Figures of Ancient Greece and Rome
This course provides a detailed look at the pantheon of gods and goddesses who were central to the belief system of ancient Greece and Rome. A section of the course will be devoted to some of the most important legendary figures, such as Hercules. The course will draw upon the huge Royal Fireworks archive of photographs from museums and archeological sites. Students will be expected to write brief answers to a question or two each week and do a longer paper on a topic of their choice.
