The History of Spain and Latin America

This is the second half of a two-semester course that began in Fall 2020.
This course offers an introduction to the history of Spanish-speaking people in Europe and the Americas from the first inhabitants of Iberia (modern Spain and Portugal), as well as and the native peoples of Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. It is a review of the historical events that changed the destiny of Spain and the Latin-American countries through the sixteenth century.
