This full-year course offers an introduction to the history of Spanish-speaking people in Europe and the Americas from the first inhabitants of Iberia (modern Spain and Portugal), as well as and the native peoples of Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. It is a review of the historical events that changed the destiny of Spain and the Latin-American countries through the sixteenth century.
Live Classes: Wednesdays, 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The first semester begins the week of August 17th and ends the week of December 14th. The second semester begins the week of January 11th, 2021, and ends the week of May 10th.
Materials: All necessary reading and study materials will be provided and posted online.
