This course offers an introduction to the history of Spanish-speaking people in Europe and the Americas from the first inhabitants of Iberia (modern Spain and Portugal), as well as and the native peoples of Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. It is a review of the historical events that changed the destiny of Spain and the Latin-American countries through the nineteenth century.
Live Classes: Thursdays, 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Fall semester begins the week of August 16th and ends the week of December 13th. Spring semester 2022 begins the week of January 10th and ends the week of May 9th.
