Ms. Math is back to teach more exciting math courses in the 2024-2025 school year in the Royal Fireworks Online Learning Community!

Learning with Dr. Rachel McAnallen, aka Ms. Math, is an extraordinary journey that transforms the way children perceive mathematics. With more than six decades of teaching experience and a contagious passion for the subject, Ms. Math brings math to life in ways that captivate young minds. Her playful yet rigorous approach encourages students to embrace math as a fascinating puzzle to solve rather than as a daunting challenge. Through engaging activities, creative problem-solving, and a sprinkle of humor, Ms. Math empowers children to think about math in a whole new light, instilling confidence and fostering a lifelong love for numbers.

Student Ages: 6–10
Class Meetings: Wednesdays, 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: September 4 – December 18
Cost: $500 (~$32/week)

Math for Gifted Students 103 🧮
Student Ages: 7–12
Class Meetings: Wednesdays, 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time

-Delve into rational and irrational numbers, fractions, and ratios.
-Build on geometric design skills, and explore modular origami.

Introduction to Origami 🎨
Student Ages: 9–18
Class Meetings: Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time

-Discover the art of mathematical origami, fostering creativity and spatial awareness.
-Learn patience, persistence, and perseverance while crafting intricate paper models.
