What Is Classical Logic?
Classical logic, originating in ancient Greece and refined through the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, is a basic method of formal reasoning that focuses on determining what’s true and what’s false. It uses specific rules to draw conclusions from given information, benefiting fields such as philosophy and computer science by stressing clear thinking and logical consistency.
In today’s world, being able to tell the difference between what’s true and what’s false is an absolutely critical skill that every student should have.
Fortunately, this fall in the Royal Fireworks Online Learning Community, a handful of lucky students will have the opportunity to learn about classical logic with expert Dr. Rachel Lott. Dr. Lott’s teaching approach revolves around fostering engaging discussions and deep learning experiences. With more than two decades of experience editing academic publications and conducting writing workshops, Dr. Lott is dedicated to enhancing students’ analytical skills and logical reasoning abilities.
Dr. Lott is offering classical logic courses at two levels, enabling students who take Classical Logic I in the fall semester to continue their exploration of the topic and deepen their understanding and mastery of it with Classical Logic II in the spring semester.
