THIS IS A ONE-SEMESTER COURSE.
Students in this course will examine the creative works that have grown out of Christian culture, including music, art, and literature. The students will be exposed to the best and most significant works of the past 2,000 years. By examining themes, symbols, and issues that recur in works produced by devout Christians, they will gain a fuller understanding of both the Christian faith and Western culture.
Class Meetings: Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time
Dates: September 9 – December 16, 2026*
*Please note that there will be no class meeting on Nov. 25, 2026.
Student Expectations: There will be weekly reading and writing assignments. Students should plan on about one to three hours of homework per week.
Student Support: The instructor is available via email, as well as by phone call or text.
Feedback/Assessment: The instructor will provide detailed feedback on all submitted assignments, both in writing and during each class session.
Materials/Supplies: The instructor will provide all required texts, images, recordings, and resources.
