THIS IS A ONE-SEMESTER COURSE.
In this course, students will learn how to get organized! The focus of the course is on equipping students with strategies they can use on their own that will enable them to execute tasks successfully throughout their lives. To do this, the instructor will present eight executive functioning skill areas. Each week, students will be challenged to employ the strategies they learned and reflect on their implementation.
Specific topics include:
- Problem solving
- Time management
- Task initiation
- Organization
- Planning and prioritizing
- Working memory
- Self-regulation
- Perseverance
Class Meetings: Wednesdays, 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: January 14 – May 13, 2026
Student Expectations: Students are expected to complete and submit to the instructor “Weekly Challenges” related to the content of each week’s class meeting.
Student Support: The instructor is available by email.
Feedback/Assessment: The instructor will offer feedback on the students’ “Weekly Challenges.”
