High School Grammar (June 4-July 30)

Designed for students in the upper middle and high school years, this course teaches students grammar through the award-winning MCT language arts curriculum’s The Magic Lens I text, supported through the practice workbook for that book, 4Practice I. Students will be introduced to Michael Clay Thompson’s four-level grammar analysis of the parts of speech, the parts of the sentence, phrases, and clauses.

Class Meetings: Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: June 4 – July 30

Student Expectations: Students will be expected to complete homework each week and to come to the live class meetings prepared to discuss specific grammar topics.

Student Support: The instructor is available via email. Students who need additional support can request one-on-one meetings with the instructor.

Feedback/Assessment: The instructor will provide feedback on all assignments.

Materials/Supplies: Students will need to purchase The Magic Lens I and 4Practice I from the MCT language arts curriculum.
