THIS IS A TWO-SEMESTER COURSE.
Students in this invaluable course will use algebra, geometry, and statistics skills to solve real-world math problems related to finance.
Students will begin by learning how to incorporate the use of future value and present value investment formulas to make calculations regarding long-term investments. They will then use ratios, proportions, and percents as they learn about the fundamentals of investing. They will go on to design and carry out investigative research to answer or learn more about a real-world financial question, and they will continue to use quantitative reasoning and mathematical models to solve a variety of contextualized problems.
Class Meetings: Tuesdays, 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time
