World Cultural Geography (2025-2026)

THIS IS A TWO-SEMESTER COURSE.

This will be a physical and cultural geography course. Students will explore every continent and major body of water in the world, learning all of the national capitals and all of the oceans and rivers. They will pause on great writers, creators, thinkers, composers, and artists. They will learn what many major cities look like and will be able to recognize them in photos. The course will be rich with maps, including blank maps that the students will be challenged to know. Emphasis will be on the richness and diversity of the world and on the cultural understanding, tolerance, and appreciation that flows from a knowledge of the world.

Fall Semester:
September 8 – December 15, 2025
Spring Semester:
