Liz Contreras

Liz Contreras is from Maracaibo, Venezuela, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business before coming to the United States. She continued her studies in the U.S. in education, receiving a teaching certification in Spanish and a master’s degree in education from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She has been teaching Spanish in the New Jersey public schools for more than two decades.

Ms. Contreras loves to help students achieve the gift of learning a language, sharing her passion for music, languages, and people and cultures from other parts of the world. She also enjoys teaching and learning from her students. She firmly believes that learning about and from one another will help us all to be part of a better place.
