THIS IS A TWO-SEMESTER COURSE.

This is an opportunity for students who are interested in climate science to research related topics and apply their knowledge to advance real-world education and activism. The course will center on identifying issues that today’s young people can address regarding climate change using existing youth-led movements as models for activities, targeted campaigns, and communication strategies.

During the course, students will develop a group organizational plan, set goals, select issues to be addressed, apply strategic thinking, and design activities to meet specific outcomes that advance climate change education, influence climate change solutions, increase local and global awareness, and align with other young people in the climate action arena all over the world.

Students will improve their writing and speaking skills while learning about recent developments in climate change analysis, solutions, and technologies from projects across the globe. In the process, they will find their own unique strengths and enhance their personal leadership skills.
