We’re pleased to announce our newly released series for parents and teachers of students in kindergarten through the eighth grade: Guides to Creative Questioning for Children’s Literature. Based on Bloom’s Taxonomy, this four-book series, divided by grade levels, provides instructors with thoughtfully designed discussion questions for a wide range of beloved classic and contemporary children’s and young adult literature. Each one encourages students to think deeply about literature, develop critical and creative thinking skills, and engage in meaningful discussions.

We’re excited to present Little Stories for Big Thinkers: Ethics and Philosophy for Curious Kids, written by Western philosophy author Dr. Sharon Kaye and illustrated by Christopher Tice. This beautifully crafted book, which almost immediately won a Mom’s Choice Gold Award, introduces young readers to six of history’s most influential philosophers through engaging short stories that spark reflection and conversation about ethics and how to live a good life. Each story ends with open-ended questions, inviting children to think deeply and discuss their own ideas about right and wrong.

It didn’t take long for our new logic book, Classical Logic: An Illustrated Introduction, to catch the attention of the dedicated team at the Mom’s Choice Awards. The book had been out for a little more than a month before we were notified that it had won a Mom’s Choice Award Honoring Excellence. Congratulations to author Dr. Rachel Lott, who also teaches classical logic at Royal Fireworks Online Learning! This book is an essential guide for beginning students of logic. It is at once whimsical and yet profoundly educational, providing students with a solid foundation in formal classical logic.

Royal Fireworks was founded in 1977 to enhance the educational experiences of gifted children.
We’re known for enticing children with a challenge, and while that originated in the form of books for gifted children, it has expanded through the years to be both more inclusive and more diverse. We have added an array of books for children who struggle with dyslexia and other reading disorders, and we proudly host an online learning community that includes students from all over the world.
