At his first sight of the beautiful land of Kentucky, Daniel Boone was hooked, and he was feverish to move his family there from that point on. But first he needed to get a good stock of furs so that he had the funds to start a settlement. Native Americans foiled that plan, and Daniel finally had to get help from a lawyer who could negotiate with the Cherokees to let them settle safely. Even then, there were problems, and Daniel had to hold on tight to his bluegrass dream.
