Bob Haslam was honored to ride for the Pony Express, but he learned quickly that the job wasn’t an easy one. Not only was there difficult land to cross, but the threat of an attack by a tribe of Native Americans who were angry at being pushed off their land put Bob’s very life in danger. When other pony riders refused, Pony Bob persisted, forcing down his fears to get the job done.
