This year’s MCT language arts courses begin the week of August 17th. This is an exclusive opportunity for students to learn live online with Michael Clay Thompson himself, the award-winning author of the MCT language arts curriculum!

The MCT curriculum has earned numerous awards and recognitions from families and educators for its rigorous, integrated approach to grammar, vocabulary, writing, poetics, and literature. In these live courses, students don’t simply work through the curriculum; they learn directly from the author who created it.

Space is limited, and several levels are filling up fast, especially Levels 2, 3, 4, and 5. If your student plans to join one of these courses, we recommend enrolling soon to guarantee a spot.

Level 10: Shakespeare: The Complete Sonnets

Courses meet live online once a week throughout the fall and spring semesters, with recordings available for students who miss a class.

Royal Fireworks Online Learning also offers an audit-only option for students who wish to take an MCT course in Levels 1 through 7. For this option, students will be able to watch recordings of Michael’s live classes, but they will not attend those classes or interact with Michael, and they will not be able to have their work graded by him. This enables families on a budget to watch Michael teach, even if they don’t have the benefit of his direct feedback on their student’s work.
