Popular instructor and native speaker Liz Contreras has decided to offer the next level of Spanish language learning at Royal Fireworks Online Learning: Spanish 4. Like the first three levels, this advanced course provides deep linguistic instruction but also includes the history, culture, literature, and traditions of the Spanish-speaking world, expanding and enriching students’ experience.

It’s spring across the northern hemisphere, and that means it’s time for Royal Fireworks Online Learning’s spring workshop series. Our short-format live online workshops are a wonderful way for students to explore a new subject, discover a favorite instructor, or dive into an area of interest without the commitment of a full semester course.

Oral speaking and debating are the future of education. With the rise of AI, instructors and professors will require students to present information orally in order to remove the element of AI from their work. But being able to speak confidently and communicate clearly are important in many aspects of life. That’s why instructor Kevin O’Brien is again offering his Speech and Debate course at Royal Fireworks Online Learning for the 2026-2027 school year.

Royal Fireworks Online Learning’s newest instructor Ian Boyd is offering several history courses for the 2026-2027 school year, including four grade-level history courses for students in the third through the sixth grades. There’s also a French history course, as well as spring workshops on the history of the Paris Catacombs. In all of these, Ian connects cultures, landscapes, time periods, people, and ideas, helping students develop a meaningful understanding of history.

Many students today are anxious about the climate crisis, but they don’t have a full understanding of it, and even if they do, they feel helpless to do anything about it. But at Royal Fireworks Online Learning, we’re offering three courses in the 2026-2027 school year that not only will enable students to learn about climate science but also can connect them with youth-led climate efforts and, in some cases, global movements.

Meet Ian Boyd, Royal Fireworks Online Learning’s newest instructor! Ian is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Cambridge with extensive knowledge of the French language, history, and culture, as well as world history as a whole. Here we’re profiling his upcoming French language and French history courses, but stay tuned for a more detailed exploration of his history courses soon—all of which are currently open for enrollment.

Learning how to manage stress and build focus and resilience is critical if our students are to succeed, not just in academics but in everything they choose to do in their lives. Expert Arlene Prince can help children and teens learn these skills in her mindfulness and stress-reduction workshops. During the course of just a handful of sessions, students will come away with practical tools that can benefit them for a lifetime.

Learning the Latin language offers a surprising array of benefits, including improving students’ understanding of English grammar and vocabulary, teaching them the roots of modern languages that support learning in everything from science to law, and even helping some dyslexic students become better readers. Dr. Steve Cox is offering a range of courses this summer and in the upcoming school year at Royal Fireworks Online Learning that spans an impressive breadth. From an expansive exploration of the history of the United States to the opportunity to delve deeply into the intimate history of students’ own cities or even their own families, these courses are designed to bring scholarly depth and narrative clarity to the study of history.

Dr. David Purvis, better known as “Dr. Dave” from his widely popular science teaching manuals, is offering a full lineup of science courses for the 2026-2027 school year at Royal Fireworks Online Learning. Science can be hard to teach if you’re not an expert, but Dr. Dave is, and his courses combine clear explanations, engaging discussions, and experiments that can be done at home.

Expert instructor Dr. Rachel Lott is offering a rich array of courses both this summer and in the 2026-2027 school year, as well as opportunities to learn with her one on one. The courses range from MCT-based writing courses to courses in classical logic (using her own award-winning book as the text for one of them!) to a new fun summer course in logic based on mystery stories in great classical literature. These are courses your child should not miss!
