Genetics Lab
Student Ages: 15–18
Class Meetings: Tuesdays, 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: January 13 – May 12, 2026
Cost: $500 (~$31 per week)
Course Highlights:
– Engage in a hands-on exploration of heredity using fast-growing plants.
– Build and maintain your own terrarium to conduct experiments.
– Identify dominant and recessive traits and make predictions using Punnett squares.
– Collect data weekly, with opportunities for collaborative analysis.
– Complete a full lab report on the semester-long experiment.
– Designed for beginners; no prior genetics knowledge required

Bioethics and Biotechnology
Student Ages: 15–18
Class Meetings: Tuesdays, 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: January 13 – May 12, 2026
Cost: $500 (~$31 per week)
Course Highlights:
– Explore the ethical and legal questions raised by today’s biotechnology.
– Discuss CRISPR gene editing, engineered foods, biospecimen use, and 3D-printed organs.
– Read and analyze current scientific articles and case studies.
– Write short essays, as well as a culminating research paper with a presentation.
– No prerequisites; ideal for students ready to think critically about science and society
