Big Award News!

We want to offer a heartfelt congratulations to Robert Black and his book Edward Lorenz and the Chaotic Butterflies!

Every year, the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) and the Children’s Book Council (CBC) collaborate with volunteers to review hundreds of books for their annual Best STEM Book List. This list provides recommendations about the best books with STEM content available for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. We’re honored to share that, for the second year in a row, a book in Robert Black’s Mathematical Lives series has won a spot for the 2022 Best STEM Books list!

The Mathematical Lives books tell the story of math by exploring the stories of the people behind the math, making math accessible, enjoyable, and understandable to kids (and adults)—even those who may not think they like math. But when that math is explored through a well-written story, the subject becomes immediately interesting. That is one of Robert Black’s gifts, and we thank the NSTA and the CBC for their recognition!

You can purchase the award-winning Edward Lorenz and the Chaotic Butterflies or any of its companion books in the series individually, or order the entire set and receive free shipping with your purchase!
