Strong writing skills are an essential element of good creative writing. Royal Fireworks Online Learning is pleased to offer creative writing and poetry courses with popular instructor Mark Filie. With a thirty-four-year career in public education, Mr. Filie has taught many young writers who have gone on to become published authors. His award-winning teaching and his experience directing a student literary magazine reflect his deep commitment to helping students develop both technical skill and an authentic writer’s voice.

Creative Writing (Ages 9–12)
Student Ages: 9–12

– Explore multiple genres, including fiction and poetry.

– Study poetic forms, from classical to contemporary.
