Royal Fireworks Online Learning is proud to offer courses by one of the most inspiring math educators in the world: Dr. Rachel “Ms. Math” McAnallen! With more than sixty years of experience teaching students and teachers around the globe, Dr. McAnallen brings her signature warmth, humor, and brilliance to every lesson. Her courses make math hands-on, meaningful, and fun for learners of all ages.

Dr. McAnallen is offering a new course that begins in January for our spring semester, in addition to continuing on with her full-year math courses for young mathematicians who need an extra challenge. As a bonus this year, she is also offering mini-lessons for parents and teachers to help everyone succeed in turning math into a subject that makes sense and is easy to fall in love with.

Mathematical Model Building
Student Ages: 9–18
Class Meetings: Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: January 15 – May 14, 2026
Cost: $500

In this interactive, hands-on geometry course, students will use construction paper or card stock to build three-dimensional models. This creative process helps students visualize and understand solid geometry while developing spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills. It’s perfect for tactile learners who love to make things!

Math for Bright Young Learners
Student Ages: 6–11
Class Meetings: Wednesdays, 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: January 14 – May 13, 2026*
Cost: $550 for the Spring Semester
*Note: This is the second semester of a full-year course that began in Fall 2025, but new students may join with instructor approval.

This two-semester course gives students a strong foundation in mathematical thinking. Topics include number fluency, place value systems, fractions, negative numbers, and the commutative, associative, and distributive properties. Students will discover that math isn’t just about memorizing facts; it’s about understanding patterns, reasoning, and problem-solving.

Advanced Mathematical Concepts
Student Ages: 10–16
Class Meetings: Wednesdays, 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: January 14 – May 13, 2026*
Cost: $550 for the Spring Semester
*Note: This is the third semester of a three-semester course, but new students may join with instructor approval.

Students will delve into the fascinating world of number patterns, exploring relationships between and among numbers through hands-on problem-solving and discovery. Dr. McAnallen’s approach helps students not only understand advanced concepts but also appreciate the beauty and logic behind mathematics.

Ms. Math’s Mini Lessons for Preschooler Parents and Teachers
Student Ages: Adults
Class Meetings: Tuesdays, 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Dates: August 26 – December 16, 2025
Cost: $90

This nine-lesson series is designed to help adults learn how to introduce math concepts to young children naturally and joyfully. Dr. McAnallen’s approach transforms early math learning into playful discovery, setting the stage for a lifetime of curiosity and confidence in mathematics.
